More posts on Chacham Ovadia Yosef, women, and the megillah:

  • Rafi listened and shares details.
  • According to Professor Jeffrey Woolf at My Obiter Dicta, the ruling isn’t surprising. And it has no implications for Ashkenazim (Jews of Eastern European descent).

Echoes of Lysistrata?

Jameel posts a video explaining how some creative women deal with having their commuting husbands on their hands for two weeks out of the month: Baal Lagan. Now I have never understood how a committed Zionist like Jameel could have such a thing about an American food like waffles. But if you’re anxious to get rid of some chametz, check out Waffle Week at the Muqata.

The upcoming Kosher Cooking Carnival, scheduled for Monday, April 7, is coming along nicely. Please use the handy-dandy Blog Carnival Submission Form. I can’t guarantee inclusion of any posts that arrive after early Sunday.

And hat-tip to Jameel for sending me this link: Batia Kahana Dror of the religious feminist organization Kolech has come up with an old-new way of ensuring that the Jerusalem mikveh attendants receive their salaries.
