My daughter's rendition Matan Torah

My daughter's rendition of Matan Torah

Leora often plays “What Do You See” with her daughter’s pictures. Here is one my daughter drew for the holiday of Shavuot. What do you see?

  1. Mark says:

I see matan Torah through a childs eyes. And it is beautiful!

Chag Matan Torah Sameach!!!! (I know, it’s already chag Baaretz).

  2. Leora says:

Love the mountain with the flowers and the 10 commandments at the top. The mountain looks like the shape of a woman, in some ways. I see a lot of use of yellow. And how a child often stacks objects of importance.

    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Mark. Glad not to have to wait an extra day for the observant Americans to return this time.
Leora, thanks for the comments. There are a few other elements too–one of which I drew. Can you guess what’s in the top left corner?

  4. Ariela says:

People are very important since they are as big as the mountain.
She views Matan Torah as a wonderful thing since the mountain is full of flowers and the sun is shining.
Motherhood is important – the woman to the right is holding a baby.
What is on the chest of the man standing in the middle of the mountain (Moshe?)?
What is the line of small green circles going up the left side of the mountain.
    Beautiful picture.
    Thank you!

  5. Mark says:

Top left corner? A bird? An angel?

  6. mominisrael says:

Ariela, good point. And we do talk a lot about mothers and babies around here! I’ll ask your questions when she gets home.
Mark, that is supposed to be lightning. I suggested it after she had already drawn the sun.
